I first encountered Tracey Long’s work when looking through the finalists entries for the Cheltenham Illustration Award in 2008. Although there were no foxes in her work back then, I was pleased to find some lovely images of them alongside other woodland creatures when I stumbled across her website this week. I find her work intriguingly beautiful, with some pieces being reminiscent of the prints in my childhood copy of Alice in Wonderland. I recommend perusing her website, blog and etsy shop to see the variety less-fox-focused collage, pencil and watercolour illustrations.
