10 Uses For Tote Bags

Ceridwen Hazelchild Design Fog Tote BagA tote bag is one of the most useful things in my handbag. I keep it folded up inside a pocket, and wherever I go, it somehow ends up getting unfolded and filled with things, be it the weekly food shop or pine cones and feathers after an afternoon walk in the country.

There are so many ways use a tote bag, and here are a few of them:

  1. Use as a shopping bag – keep it in your hand bag and take it out after you’ve been to the store or farmer’s market and need to carry your treats back home.
  2. Cart around your school or college supplies – books, pens, calculators and folders all need to be carried about somehow, and this way they are easy to put away and sling over your shoulder at the end of class.
  3. Take it to the gym or pool – grab your towel and let’s go.
  4. Store your wool and needles in it and use it as a knitting or craft bag – great for crafting on the go.
  5. Wrap up presents in it and use it as eco-friendly, reusable gift wrap – plus as gift in itself!
  6. Sit on it when the bench is wet – save yourself from getting your coat or jeans wet!
  7. Stuff a jacket in it and turn it into a cushion when you’re in the park – lean back and enjoy the sunshine!
  8. Stuff a cushion in it and sew up one edge, turning it into a nifty one-of-a-kind cushion cover!
  9. Pack an emergency kit in it and store it in your car – a first aid box, torch, batteries, blanket, jump leads, heat pack, ect.
  10. Have a sack race by putting your feet inside the back, holding the handle and jumping to the finish line.

Have you got any ideas to add?

  1. I might use these reasons to tell people to buy my re-usable shopping bags…. Very good.
